Apple Watch face won’t swipe since update

Can’t swipe watch face since update. Fix was to press on screen and swipe to face desired but that doesn’t even work anymore. Turned off watch and done with iWatch for awhile till this silly update is dealt with. Feels good actually to go back to an old school watch.

Sure. Not buying the explanation. I haven’t seen any complaints about accidental swipes…causing what, the next watch face to come up? How is that a bigger deal then now I can’t easily swipe to another face with options I use regularly. Sorry, but your explanation is weak at best.

No, I would say, based on the frequency of unintended swipe complaints in the past, vs the uproar from the watchOS 10 changes, that taking away swipe has annoyed a lot more people.

Or, the people who want to swipe are more vocal. That's the problem with drawing inferences from the number of posts here, though we all do it at some point. ;-)

Of course, Apple also has access to huge amounts of usage data in addition to what people post here.

My previous message referencing reports found across the internet related to this topic has been removed from this forum. Over and over and over again, Apple is making the customer experience as displeasing as possible.

Due to this action, I'll be selling my Apple Watch. Because I love this product so much and Apple repeatedly makes the experience of owning and using it seem like a punishment, I want nothing to do with this product segment.

I can't think of anything Apple has ever messed up so badly. They don't seem to have any clue how great and powerful and life changing this product has been.

The problem with saying "the masses spoke" is that no one is going to say anything if there's something that is working just fine and they like it, they are only going to comment if there is a complaint. So, I for one, agree COMPLETELY with GernBlanston99 - I have been very FRUSTRATED wondering what was wrong with my watch and why I could no longer swipe to change faces and sometimes even can't swipe to read my notifications!

The reason I stumbled upon this thread is because the change is an UNWELCOME and FRUSTRATING problem that I'm looking for the solution to make it work like it did before the update.

So, NO - THANK YOU, Apple. I did NOT want this.

So we can assume then, that you have not updated your watch to WatchOS 10.2, where this fixed and you can now swipe through your faces as you once could? Did you read how to do that? By going to Settings App ON your watch, Clock and turn on Swipe Faces?

Then I don't understand your post at all.

This would indicate, at least to me, you were complaining and you weren't aware Apple did address this.

Apologies if my post was confusing. I'm glad that Apple addressed the issue. I also stand by my original statement that I'm frustrated that I had to go hunting for a solution due to Apple changing a feature that in my opinion wasn't broken to begin with. And I stand by the statement that it's skewed to say "the masses have spoken" when, in fact, the masses didn't speak, only the ones who accidentally swiped their faces unintentionally.

Either way, I've implemented the setting to allow me to continue swiping between faces.

Have a blessed day.
