Bookmarks

Are "Bookmarks" ever created automatically, or does the computer user have to make a conscious effort to add items to his Bookmark's list? I ask because I am looking for a file, but I don't want to search through Bookmarks unless there is a chance that it might be there. (I have a LOT of bookmarks)

Browser bookmarks are not created automatically. You, the user, must explicitly create them.


Browser history, however, is recorded automatically.
