Remove Apple News from dock on Sonoma

How do I remove Apple News from the dock on Sonoma OS 14? I tried the usual right click and this is not an option.

Any thoughts?

You should be able to just drag it off onto the desktop and it will go away. It won't delete the app. Just the icon on the Dock.

It appears that Apple News was loaded and reboot continued to keep it loaded albeit hidden. Once I force quit the app I was able to right click it away.

It does not drag out of the dock. It reappears.
