Screen recordings have no sound

When I record my screen on FaceTime and play back to recording, it has no sound

Screen recording of FaceTime and Zoom doesn’t play any sound even thought they were recorded with the microphone feature turned on. How do I recover the sound? When I screen record I click on microphone on then I start recording then stop then when I see the recordings, they do not have the audio portion. I can’t listen anything. This happens on my iPhone 12 mini and my iPad 10.2 in I have tried recording FaceTime calls, WhatsApp video calls, Zoom, etc Audio doesn’t get recorded even though I explicitly turn the microphone on before clicking start recording. How do I recover the audio on these videos I recorded? Thanks!

Screen Recording So say a person FaceTime video calls me. Of course I can hear the conversation coming through the phone but what I’m trying to figure out is why when I screen record the video of the person I’m talking to, there is no sound when I play the screen record back after the video call is over? Is there a way to do that?

To make sure there are no issues with the microphone that could be causing this to happen, use the troubleshooting steps here first: If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working - Apple Support

If this persists and the microphone works as expected, contact Apple Support directly: Get Support
