How to unpair an Apple Watch from an iPhone I don't have anymore?

How do I erase my watch and unpair watch from a iPhone I no longer have and set it up on my new iPhone

Follow these instructions;

Activation Lock removal -

How to remove Activation Lock - Apple Support


Removing the device from your iCloud account should erase the watch and then it should be ready to pair to another iPhone.


M1 Mac mini, macOS 13.5.2;  Watch, series 7 GPS/cellular, watchOS 10.0.1; iPad Pro 2nd Gen, iPadOS 17.0.1; iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 17.0.1; TV 4th Gen, tvOS 17; HomePods, audioOS 17 and Airport Express w/ Airplay 2
