Wattage:

65w is the the fastest, if that is what is mentioned on the device. Use a charging brick of this wattage.

Troubleshooting a Draining iPhone Battery:

A. Battery Drain Info:

The iPhone battery will drain, unless it is plugged in and charging. With lots installed, the charge would be slower. As for how fast it would drain the battery, that would depend on the battery health and the volume (sound) you use.

1. Go Here: iPhone Battery and Performance - Apple Support
2. Scroll Down: to "Your battery's maximum capacity"

B. Verify the Baterry Health Percentage:

Apple recommends you get a new battery, once the Battery Health reaches 80% or lower. When the Battery Health is 80% or lower, it is time for a new battery. Unfortunately, these if no way to know how, nor when, then percentage decrease occurred. So see if it tine for a new battery...

1. Go To: Settings
2. Tap: Battery
3. Tap: Battery Health
4. View: [the percentage]
5. Is it 80% or less?  If so, it is time for a new battery.

If this is brand new, then you are correct: It shouldn't be doing this. So, return this to the seller.

Unfortunately you cannot exchange the phone so easily since the stock is limited. My 15 Pro Max fully charged doesn’t last the advertised 25+ hours as goes out just after 17 hours. My iPhone 15 Pro's battery is draining excessively rapidly with minimal usage!

The iPhone 15 Pro Max battery life is definitely worse than my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Whenever it’s in low power mode it also glitches and runs slow. I really hope Apple fixes these issues.

i just received my IPhone 15 Pro Max and I had the IPhone 13 Pro Max for 3 years and my battery started draining really fast after charging it all night! Could someone tell me how I can fix this problem? I don’t want the same issues as I did with the iPhone 13 Pro Max! Thanks!
