The remove background is grayed out in the tools drop down of preview after installing Sonoma 14.0? It was there and worked on one pic but then not any others. Sort of glitched on the one that worked. As well the quick actions doesn't work either it only makes a sound and does nothing. I've never had to convert a jpg to a png to do it before but either way its not working, grayed out?
It seems to be working here, though at times the menu appears greyed out; it lightens up when moving the cursor on the image.
I opened a bunch of different jpeg files and it worked every time.
You may also want to try it with the associated keyboard shortcut, Command-Shift-K.
Same here. It was 100% reliable in Ventura and has simply stopped in Sonoma.
How has Apple managed to turn this feature, which worked perfectly in Ventura, into utter garbage and then pretend nothing is wrong?
Works fine for me. Are you running Sonoma 14.2.1? What kind of images?
