I have two external Acasis enclosures TBU401E with a Samsung 980 Pro SSD that I use as boot drive. The one with Monterey 12.7 installed works fine. However the one with Sonoma 14.0 has issues: slow startup (more than 3 minutes), sometimes bluetooth drop-out at startup and beachballs while opening applications. Sonoma has no problems with a Samsung T7 as boot drive, though. The issue is only with the Acasis. What can I do?

Yes it is. I have seen many users have speed issues using Samsung NVME drives (only with Mac) which is why I use WD.
I contacted Acasis. Should I report this to Apple too?
You can, although I suspect it's not a macOS issue.
I have an Acacis TB enclosure with a WD SN750 NVME drive and no speed issues. Boots fine
My other Acasis with Monterey boots fine too and there are no speed issues. But the enclosure with Sonoma has a lot of problems. Is yours with Sonoma?
