Same problem but solved. Canon CanoScan LiDE 200. I had troubles about not just plug n play with other MacOs. I have been using this Scanner since SnowLeopard (around late2009). With Sonoma & MacBook ProM1, just I downloaded the most recent drivers (two files) from Canon official support web (YosemiteOs drivers, I think so), and finally... voila!
1- At beginning nothing at all. I check wires different usb ports... (Looks like death hardware, no sound, signal, just nothing...).
2- Two Drivers setup from Canon's Web & then appears on System setting, add scan (at last appears on the list) and working fine with Image Capture just same like 14 years ago.
NOTE: ( Please, more care with old hardware. I use old and new hardware depending on my needs and market offer. In this case actually recent scanners that I could find on market was design for small or big office or just so expensive portable scanners. I just need a simple one, for daily digitalisation of a few letter paper documents. The Canon 400 or 600 newest is so similar to waste money every time just for no longer driver support. WiFi connection for multiple and wireless connections is the best pro but not eco for my needs)

That device is supported without any Canon drivers by Apple's built-in AirPrint. You should be able to just connect it (directly) via USB-C or indirectly with a USB-C to USB-A adapter to your iMac, visit System settings : Printers & Scanners panel, click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax… and a new window will open showing an entry for your MF752Cdw. Click that entry, and the Use selector will change to your device name, and then you click Add.
Here is that entry for my Canon LiDE 400 that I just connected to my M2 Mac Mini Pro running Sonoma 14.0:
and…
and one clicks the Scanner > panel and chooses Open Scanner which launches Apple's Image Capture application that shows this information:
I use the optional, paid (free trial) VueScan Professional instead of image capture for the LiDE 400, and VueScan supports your scanner including the document feeder without Canon or Apple software required. You may prefer it over your current scanning solution.
I overlooked your Wi-Fi usage requirement. Sometimes, an operating system upgrade can play havoc with a previous AirPrint or vendor driver configuration resulting in a do-over.
From the System Settings : Printers & Scanners panel, again click the Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax… button and this time, you should see the same Add Printer panel as my first image above, but it should be detected by Apple's Bonjour network detection. When you click on that entry, the Use selector should again self-populate and you can then Add that printer as I did above. Since I don't have a networked scanner, I am uncertain of what you will see when you click that scanner entry on the Printers & Scanners panel.
Care to share the Canon scanner model name here, as you have not provided any actionable information to begin receiving help.
Read my post about the LiDE 400 scanner earlier in this thread. Do not install the Canon software from the DVD that comes with the scanner. What operating system are you using on your Mac from the Apple menu > About this Mac?
Sorry - it's a Canon i-Sensys MF752Cdw. Worked fine until upgrading to Sonoma and now I am getting an internal error (Code: 10,202,3) when trying to wifi scan using the feeder and although I receive a scan it is gobbledegook.
You should have started your own main post in Sonoma community. The thread contents here are about Canon LiDE series scanners and I have no idea what an MP210 represents. Such as cryptic posts without detail.
I have a similar problem with a CanonScan Lide 400. I've installed it OK, but when I click 'Open Scanner', Image Capture opens, but the scanner is not in the list of devices and there seems to be no way to add it.
I just purchased a CanoScan Lide 400. I installed the scanner and as you can see from the screen shot below, am able to find it on my 2020 Mac Book Pro M1.
I then open the scanner as seen below:
This is what happens when I try to scan: Directed to define the area, I do that and then get a swirling tiny ball and no image of what is on the scanner. All thoughts much welcomed. Feeling quite frustrated.
MP210 not running on Sonoma 14.2.1
Same!
I'm having this exact same issue can I ask if you managed to resolve it?
many thanks
