A PC desktop audio file playing on my truck’s radio

An odd thing since installing the latest update on my iPhone 11. Before this, when I was listening to a radio broadcast on the phone and entered my vehicle, the radio program would Bluetooth transfer to the vehicle speakers. Everything fine. Since the update, listening to a broadcast, I start my vehicle and, instead of the broadcast, the speakers play an audio file which is located on my PC desktop. Huh? How does this happen? After the short audio file ends, the radio program does not then come on. Just nothing. Is it some kind of phone or Bluetooth setting?

Hi JustLawfull,

Many vehicle radios include an autoplay feature when they detect a connected or paired device. In some cases, the radio when set to that input channel will request audio from the connected/paired device often defaulting to the first alphabetical track saved on the device.

Options to change this behavior would exist in the vehicle radio itself. This may mean altering the input channel or disabling auto play if an option. Consult with the manufacturer of the stereo to assess what options you can employ to change that behavior.

Regards.
