2017 MacBook Pro Display

I bought this MacBook pro in 2017, and have kept it in mint condition. I barely have anything stored on it, and always kept it in great condition. All of a sudden, my Mac display doesn't stay on past a certain angle. Apparently, the 2016 MacBook was recalled for this same issue, but when you call apple support they try to say "its a completely different display from the 2016 one." It is such a joke, just because they don't want to recall it. They want me to pay a $560 to fix something that was beyond my control to break in the first place! A display issue for a 6 year old computer is an issue that MUST BE ADRESSED. I have laptops from the mid 2000"s- They have NEVER had a display issue! I would NEVER recommend apple to anyone because of this horrible support plan. Don't buy any apple computers if you want something reliable. They overcharge you for products that don't work just because its "Apple". A computer that was thousands of dollars is now worthless because of a recall that they will never make. Apple, I hope you fix this issue because I am one of THOUSANDS of people with this problem just based off of reviews I have seen all over the internet, I'm just one of the few speaking out!
