i just subscribed to iCloud 50GB Family subscription. Then I receive an email from Apple about iCloud+ which has more enhanced protection but the monthly cost is the same. So, can I simply subscribe to iCLoud+ ONLY which provides more protection at the same cost ? A little bit unsure as to what the deal is and the difference between iCloud and iCloud+

Thanks Neil. If you say I am able to get iCloud+ protection, I accept it because it does seem logical to me.
I will definitely log into my iCloud account and make use of the extra protections offered.
