Can you overcharge your iPhone SE?
I’ve heard both ends of the spectrum about overcharging an iPhone battery. What is the correct info?
iPhone 6s, iOS 15

It is NOT possible to overcharge an iPhone. Period. And it's not true that if you leave it on its charger, it can or should get very hot at all. iPhone has sophisticated charging software built in to ensure it stops charging when it hits 100%. A phone which is no longer receiving a charge, won't get hot.
You're very welcome.
BTW, the very best thing you can do to keep the battery as healthy as possible on your iPhone, is to plug it in to charge when you go to bed at night, with Optimized Battery Charging turned on in Settings > Battery and leave it plugged in all night, every night. Plus with iCloud backup enabled, you'll back up nightly so you never have to worry about losing more than a days worth of data.
You can not but your iPhone can get very hot if left
Thank you Neonnyt! Obviously a fellow Black Sabbath/Dio fan!
My battery life is @ 79% which I thought odd for a phone that’s only about 2 years old. My phone is on charge a lot while @ work and listening to Planet Rock Radio out of England.
🤘😆
I just checked and both those setting are turned on. So, good to go there. Being my battery life has gone down about 10% from last month I was becoming concerned that I’m leaving it plugged in too much. It’s also plugged in a lot @ work because I listen to that Planet Rock Radio out of England.
Thank you for your very decisive answer, Lobsterghost1!
A IPhone SE will heat up as is an older model and I have one
sorry for any confusion
Great to know! Thank you so much!!!
Battery Health decline is normal and can't be stopped. One can generally expect from 1-2% per month in Battery Health decline.
