Charging cables iPhone 15 Pro

Bought 2 cables from Amazon but neither works. Read somewhere that Apple has a chip in the phone to prevent cables other than theirs will not work

Charging cables I ordered what I thought was a charging cable for my iPad Air, 4th generation from the Apple store, but the port connection doesn't work on it. It works on my iPhone, but not the iPad. I looked for it under Accessories for iPads. Any suggestions on how to order the correct cable from the Apple Store? Thank you!!

I've use a number of 3rd party cables with my iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max and have had no issues whatsoever. So Apple is NOT preventing 3rd party cables from working with the new iPhones.
