Waited until 17.3 before updating wish i hadn't updated as its basically bricked my XR. Apps freeze and then shutdown, phone is incredibily slow to follow any command, phone rings at times but no caller showing and can't answer it. Battery loses 50-60% over night without any use. I have updated all apps cleaned caches etc. Even Apple native apps are affected. Not good Apple!!
im having so many issues! I can’t text photos any longer as the recipient only sees squiggly lines. I can’t FaceTime many people, including my husband who is sitting next to me. My contacts are all messed up and now when I call people the screen is this bizarre blue background with their initials in bold. I’m thinking I need to roll back
Yes! I have 9 devices from phones, work & business, laptops, desk mini and ipads all acting like a class of 1st graders. Stayed on phone with Apple support 3.5 the last call, of 4, and devices have a mind of their own. The final solution was do what you can with what you can, pretty much. No need to get new devices because the ios is the problem so you’re likely to have the same issues with no fix until the issues are resolved with an os update. I’m on 17.03 , which is the latest update
What really surprises me the most is almost everything I have seen posted in this forum for the past month now has been completely different issues. For example, my initial problem was custom or person text tones have been completely deleted during the upgrade and default standard text tones have been replaced with different tones. Not one other post has mentioned this issue. There have been so many things posted I can’t help but wonder why 17.0 even runs at all.
There is no roll back. I suggested the same. Apple told me there is no rolling back and ask why roll back when we can need to fix the problem in the ios. Then i was told most of the problems on this thread were being reported and would need to be corrected with an iOS update to fix. Problem is there is no update yet and causing so many problems smh
Are they under ringtones or or text tones? I found all my tones went to ringtones. Wether message tones or ringtones they were all under the ringtone menu and none up under the message tone menu. And if i set it to a custom or purchased tone and some default tones when messaging came it revert to none, with haptics and tones
I have Bluetooth hearing aids and when I have the iMessage app open and I receive a text I get a blast of noice that’s unbearably loud. I will have to stop texting or I’m going to have some hearing damage.
I’m having issues also I have a 15. My car play stopped working randomly last Friday. Worked in the morning- and all week for that matter- but in the afternoon it told me “connect a supported iPhone”. Thought it was the charger and got a new one. That didn’t help
Try resetting her network settings. Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Since my wife and I upgraded to ios 17, she no longer receives my calls. She can call me and I can text her but her phone doesn't register my calls. I call her line, it rings, and I get her voicemail but she can't get it. We tried all the usual steps, e.g., airplane mode on/off etc. but they don't work. Does anyone else have this issue? What can we do? I have to revert to FaceTime call.
For me it’s been pretty smooth I am using the iPhone 12 mini and I would say for number one the battery improved majorly my phone got faster and I love the new features but to answer ur question to update to iOS 17. That’s totally up to you
My iPhone 14 Pro Max is randomly removing my contacts. In some cases only a phone number shows up in my favorites, or the contact is completely gone from contacts including the name. I’ve tried to restore from backups in the cloud. It goes through the restore process but does not update my contacts from 5 back-ups ago in the cloud. I’ve run 2 different anti-virus programs and both come back with no issues. I’m not sure if this is an IOS 17 issue or a virus/malware. I don’t seem to have any other issues so far with my phone. Does anyone have any insight or experienced this issue?
I would say wait. Update causing more problems. Especially if you manage your email account on your iPhone. They broke a feature that has existed for over 20 years with this update. It makes managing my emails about four times longer than it did prior to the update because it does not recognize the folder. It should go in based on the subject matter, I have a lot of folders to be managed, and it is very annoying. I understand from this forum that this was a known problem that they chose not to fix during the beta.

How could a feature have existed in iOS for over 20 years?
My phone took 27 hours to transfer info plus update to iOS 17. Since this update my phone crashes daily, taking 10 minutes to restart. After running diagnostics my phone was having “panic” episodes to they replaced the main frame, my phone passed all diagnostics. Less than a week later same issue and is failing diagnostics again….apple said to go to the nearest Apple Store, it’s 3 hours away. They then said to go in for a repair. Super frustrating as they pushed me to get repair after repair to run out the warranty. Not sure if it’s the device or iOS 17, but my second device experiences the same crashing since the update.
Well, I’m still checking things out but yesterday I updated my 15 PRO to iOS 17.1 and my custom text tones appeared in my settings and I installed them as they were prior to my new 15 PRO and iOS 17.0. So Apple has paid attention to some issues. I’m still checking out other issues I had.
I did the update and now my phone keeps saying NO SIM I even brought it to the store to fix it and it’s the phone not the SIM card and it happened right after the update and they are telling me I have to get a new phone now
