Opening the Apple TV website

Hi there. Today I downloaded an Apple TV movie (from the iPad app) to watch in my hotel room. I needed to chromecast from my IPad to the tv, and I have figured out that you can only chromecast on the website and not on the app. I then tried to open the Apple TV website, but every time I clicked on the link to the website, safari redirected me to the Apple TV app, which I didn’t want. I have tried many things to stop this including editing safari’s settings and trying to uninstall the app. However, there was no setting to stop this, and the Apple TV app can (annoyingly) not be uninstalled. I know that this can happen for many other websites and not just Apple TV, but I need help on how to stop this automatic redirection, and open the website. I have an IPad Pro, with IOS 16.4.1. Please Help

If having issues with using the Chromecast features in websites on your iPad, the best option would be to reach out to Google's support for more information on how to get this to work. Check out this link for help with reaching out to Google: Chromecast Help

Stream video manually from iPhone or iPad

1. Connect your device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV, AirPlay-compatible smart TV, or Mac.

2. Find the video that you want to stream.

3. Tap the AirPlay button . In some apps, you might need to tap a different button first.1 For example, in the Photos app, tap the Share button , then tap the AirPlay button .

4. Choose your TV or Mac from the list.

To stop streaming, tap the AirPlay button in the app that you're streaming from, then tap your iPhone or iPad from the list.
