iPhone 14: How can I tell what apps have been downloaded from a different Apple ID?

I see this question has been answered for desktop, but I'm transferring my old phone to my new one, and I'm being asked to sign in to an obsolete icloud account in order to sign in to some apps, which I don't want to do, but I can't tell which apps are connected to this outdated account. This has come up a few years in a row when I transfer to a new phone. How do I tell which apps are connected to the old account, so I can update the associated email address?

Hi GenevieveW8,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! In order for those apps to install, you would need to sign in to the Apple ID it was downloaded with. If you let your other apps download that are attached to your ID, you'll be able to see that the ones that couldn't download are darkened and not installed. You can also see which apps are attached to your ID by following these steps:

  1. "Open the App Store app.
  2. Tap the sign-in button  or your photo at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap Purchased."

- Redownload apps and games from Apple

Hope that helps!
