My iPhone 14 does not give me the option to reset my phone it just gives the Emergency option for to enter my passcode which I do not recall how can I reset my phone

I reset my passcode for my iphone14 and do not recall the passcode, I have tried and the only option it gives me is to make an emergency call or enter my passcode which is not helpful because I don't remember my passcode, in the instructions it says to turn if off and hold there button down while plugging it into my iMac but it still doesn't give me the option to reset my phone and I don't see how to do that on my imac
