Can pair my Apple Watch Series 9 with my iPhone?

Just bought series 9 apple smart watch, will not pair with my apple I phone 8+ what do I do purchase a new I phone, which one, this is getting to be an expensive endeavor!

Yes. You will need to update the software to iOS 17, and then the Series 9 Apple Watch can be paired to the iPhone 13.

As long as you have updated your iPhone 12 to iOS 17.2, it should pair fine with the Watch series 9.
