Is it possible to get a virus transfer from an iPhone to a MacBook through an html file?

I was on a semi-suspicious website on my iPhone when I tried to open a link in a new tab but accidentally clicked download linked file, I clicked on the letters next to my search bar and went on to downloads and clicked ‘clear’. I thought that was all I needed to do but today noticed on my MacBook that I had html files in my finder that related to the accidental downloads on my iPhone. I’ve since deleted them but was wondering if I should get an antivirus to run and make sure my devices are ok?
