TM and non-existing disk encryption
TM doesn’t fail under Sonoma, but a message appears: “Backup from encrypted to decrypted disk”. My disk is not encrypted.

Is the Mac Apple Silicon or Intel with a T2 chip? They are always encrypted. The decryption keys are managed automatically.
It is a M1 Pro MacBook Pro, but this message has never appeared before. The File Vault is not enabled.
I’m not sure why that matters. The message is factually true.
I'm not an expert user, and I don't know the difference between the disk encryption and the File Vault. After the installation of Sonoma, I have founded some bugs and now I would like to do a clean install of the operating system, but I am concerned about the message above.
No need to be concerned.
You do need to follow the instructions for erasing an Apple Silicon Mac. If you just erase the entire drive, you will render it useless.
I have made a new backup by using TM and my external disk. The above mentioned message didn’t appear.
