Reader View--can't turn it off

How do I disable Reader View in Safari for Mac--in Sonoma? Safari is not listed in the System Settings (any more, I think it used to be) and searching on "Reader" gets nothing.

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities Desert Lady,

The following steps on using the Reader may help you turn if off if it's activated unintentionally.

View an article using Reader
1. In the Safari app  on your Mac, click the Reader button  in the Smart Search field.
2. The button appears only if the webpage has an article that Reader can show.
3. To stop using Reader, click the Reader button again or press Esc.
