MacOS Sonoma Mail predictive move

This is not a question about Rules.

I'm not sure what to call the function that was present in the previous MacOs, but in Mail in the upper tool bar on the right where "Move v" is located, there sometimes would appear a suggested target mail folder which only took one click to move the specific email, rather than scrolling up and down the list of mail folders to find the correct folder, followed by drag and drop.

I am not seeing that predictive capability in Sonoma Mail. Is it gone now? Or maybe it takes a while for the Mail application to 'learn' the appropriate locations before it can attempt to make a logical prediction.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

There are two icons for the Move to. The default one is the one you have found (a folder icon). If you right-click on the Toolbar and click on "Customise Toolbar...", you will find the old "Move to" that will provide you with some prediction. Just add it to your Toolbar. You can also remove the other.

it seems it has been segmented into a new "feature" and wasn't automatically placed in the menu-bar. see reddit note: First concern was that Apple did away with this time saving feature, but when I hit customize toolbar I see that there are two icons for Move now. By adding the new one, it brings back the feature that the previous one use to have of icon with "move to..." next to it. Glad this still exists. https://www.reddit.com/r/MacOSBeta/comments/14ymfk2/change_to_mac_mail_toolbar_in_sonoma_move_icon/
