iPhone 14 overheating and melted my screensaver

My husband and I both upgraded our iPhones to the iPhone 14 back in July. Since then we have had problems with our phones overheating whether or not they were recharging. My husband had problems first and said the phone was so hot he wouldn’t put it in his pocket. Mine was just laying on our hassock when I went to answer the door. When I came back it was hot and was 107.1 when I checked temp with infrared thermometer. Once you move the phone the temp goes down. I have been in contact with Apple but we can’t seem to duplicate the issue. The most recent issue is now that my screen saver has melted. I have pictures and was told to call Apple back once it happens but you don’t know it is hot until you touch it and then the temperature goes down. I don’t know if I have the same chip as the iPhone 15 but this is troubling. Anyone with similar problems?

Has the Screen Lifted?:

Please Define "Melted":

What do you mean by your screensaver has "melted"? How exactly would you define "melted"? If you screen has lifted, then that means that the battery has likely corroded. And, as a result, this has become a health hazard, and you should get this serviced immediately.

How to Get your iPhone Serviced:

A. Take to an Apple store:

You'd setup a Genius Bar Appointment at your local Apple Store, taking it in for service. There, it will be diagnosed, and you'll be provided with your options.

Or...

B. Take this to an AASP:

See an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) in your local area...

Contacting an AASP:

  1. Go Here: Find Locations - Apple Authorized Reseller
  2. Click: Service & Support
  3. Enter: your location information
  4. See: if there is an AASP nearby
  5. Contact: an AASP that shows up, and find out more about the services that they offer to fix the battery
