Printer Sharing

I'm trying to print on a shared Epson XP-342 printer. (previously this worked perfectly but I have just upgraded the host printer from a 2015 iMac running Monterey to a new Mac mini running Sonoma)

Trying to print from a 2015 MacBook Air running Monterey to my new Mini and I get an awaiting authentication message. I've downloaded and installed a new epson driver for the macBook but it doesn't help.
