Wake with TouchID Re-locks MacBook Air M2

Hello,

I've seen multiple people with this issue, and everyone seems to give the same answer. If my M2 MacBook Air goes to sleep with the lid open and I try to wake it by pressing the TouchID, the machine unlocks and the screen comes on for a split second then goes to sleep again. I've been told to just rest my finger on the button without clicking it which will sometimes wake and unlock the machine if it's not in "deep sleep." I've been told to press another keyboard button or the trackpad to wake it first, then rest my finger on TouchID. The second option always works, however it requires an extra key press when it should only require clicking the TouchID button. The expected behavior works when using my Magic Keyboard with TouchID wirelessly connected to my M2 Pro Mac Mini, but not on my M2 MacBook Air or anyone's MacBook that has TouchID per all the other cases covering this. Please resolve this bug (yes, it's a bug).
