M1 MBA Seeing AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (USB-C) as "Headphones"

I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing wrong, but my M1 MacBook Air is seeing my AirPods Pro (2nd Gen, USB-C) as "Headphones" when I go to the Bluetooth info - on my iPhone it says "AirPods Pro" as the Model Name, and it does recognize them as AirPods. These are replacing my old AirPods Pro that have crapped out, and those old ones used to show along the toolbar with an AirPods icon to quickly go into the settings and Noise Control. Any reason why it's not seeing it as such with my new ones? Strange thing is, when I go to the sound settings, it does show the Noise Control options (e.g. Transparency, Noise Cancellation, etc.). but has a weird generic Headphone icon for it. Mostly, it's annoying because I can't quickly look at the AirPods settings since it doesn't show in the top toolbar. I've tried forgetting the device, removing it from my Apple ID, and resetting the AirPods - still keep showing up this way on my MBA. Ventura seems to be updated to the latest version (13.6) and I'm a bit hesitant to upgrade to Sonoma just yet. When I pop them in my ears, it does display them in the Notification to connect, so in that instance it does see them as AirPods. Any ideas?
