Apple, are you listening. Can we see this changed in the next OS upgrade please?
No, Apple doesn't read here in this user-to-user technical support forum for feedback or suggestions. You can, however, let them know your thoughts here:
C’mon, Apple…FIX THIS BUG !!!

Instead of yelling at the people in this forum who cannot do anything about your demand, tell Apple:
Looks like they read this discussion. It’s fixed. I’m able to change my default timer sound away from that horrible “radial” sound.
How did you change it. I can’t change mine yet
Are you on a beta iOS?
I’m running iOS 17.0.3
17.1 is when it becomes a problem.
It’s already been a problem
Apple also took away the ability to adjust volume on Lock Screen. Maddening 😐

That's been gone for a while. I suspect it got a lot of complaints. You should still be able to use the volume buttons.
Mine is now fixed somehow.
How did you fix this? And does it also work with Siri?
It started working for me yesterday: I can set a timer through Siri and it uses the last-used sound rather than reverting to Radial, as it was doing last week.
I did nothing new to fix it. I have no idea why it's suddenly working now ... but am grateful.
No clue, I didn’t do anything. Works with Siri too.
