How to change the default timer sound?
I’m trying to change the default timer sound
Apple Vision Pro is now available in the U.S.
I’m trying to change the default timer sound
I too hate the radial sound. If I set my own timer to my favorite and then set another time, the timer remembers my choice. If Siri sets the timer, it goes back to radial. Apple, are you listening. Can we see this changed in the next OS upgrade please?

I always used it to turn off what I was listening to through an in ear headphone as I go to sleep. Now, even if I manually change it to do this, it defaults to radial and wakes us both up instead. This is so frustrating. I am on the most up to date version of iOS. If anyone else discovers a fix, I’d be really grateful if it could be shared.

Yes, this appears to be a bug that hitched a ride on the newest update. Like everyone here I’m frustrated at now being stuck with the insipid Radial no matter how often I change the alert sound.
Tell Apple:
Agree. In iOS 17 it appears to default back to "radial" and it keeps going back to that. I need to be able to set it to "Stop Playing" and stay there.
I hate the default setting being radial instead of radar! I have learned to tell Siri to set a timer for however long with the sound ending radar and that works. I wish they would fix it though because it’s very aggravating and I use my timer often!
Same issue. I’ve changed the Timer sound to radar at least 4 times now and it keeps defaulting to radial.
Siri will only set timers with the radial sound.
this is so insanely annoying and needs to be fixed immediately.

No, Apple doesn't read here in this user-to-user technical support forum for feedback or suggestions. You can, however, let them know your thoughts here:

Apple come on already! I used the timer at night to stop playing music but it keeps switching to radial and thus waking me up in the morning. It never holds to the last setting. Please help!

Changing Timer Settings:
Even if you could change this timer setting, it's not recommended. So, let it sit.
The timer should default to whatever you selected last. But, if you want to change it, open the timer, tap on "When Timer Ends" and select the tone you want.
Mine won’t get off of “radial” as a default. I change it for one and it comes back again if I used Siri to set a timer. Grrrr
it was never like this before the latest iOS update.

So read step 3 of my reply all over again: Manual adjustments to time settings to change app behavior (like game timers) aren't recommended.
There is a new iOS update to 17.1 though it’s not suggested in your alerts. After I updated my iOS, my timer always ends with my Desperado ringtone. This is true, even if I ask Siri to create a timer, it defaults to Desperado.
Same thing with me. Very aggravating.
