What do you consider low?
Batteries degrade over time with usage due to chemical aging, that's just how they work.
You can expect about a 1% drop per month with average use on an iPhone. This is an approximation, that is why it may be plus or minus a few percent on a month to month basis.
Apple recommends replacing it when it reaches 80%. To check your battery health, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health.

If you bought it in September of last year, then 89% is right on track. As I mentioned in my first post, the percentage will usually drop about 1% a month.
September of 2023 or 2022 when it was released? If 2022 then that is completely normal. If it is of 2023 and you purchased it new then maybe reach out to Apple to have it inspected
