Anyone else's iPhone 15 Pro microphone regularly stop working?

Okay, this happened to my iPhone 15 Pro within the first week or two of getting it, and I freaked out... (my issue was that the microphone wouldn't work anywhere in any app—I use Siri dictation constantly for most of my app openings, texting, typing, etc., and Voice Memos religiously, so this was a huge dilemma for me).

Took me a lot of sleuthing but, I found that for me, if you blow on the bottom of your phone (where both speakers are and where the USBC input is), inspect that area and those openings for dust/particles and keep blowing a few more times, that the microphone suddenly works again.

This worked the first time my microphone failed, and it just failed again this morning—I tried that blowing/cleaning trick again, and it still worked!

I think I read that the microphone is down there, so... maybe this phone version is super sensitive to dust/particles, and is "listening" to or blocked by those? That's my hunch.

Give it a try, curious if this works for others!!

I bought a new 15 pro 4 weeks ago from Verizon, today was on a call and person could not hear me. No siri working or voice to text, voice memo. Mic worked sometime on calls with fuzzy sound too but no voice to text anywhere. lucky my phone was under 30 days old and sending a new one . hopefully no issue on that one

However I have noticed that if you suck air from the bottom mic grill it starts working and if you blow into the mic grill it stops.

If it’s been less than two weeks since you purchased your iPhone from an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Retailer, you may exchange it.

My iPhone 15 Pro has been working just fine. My microphone has not failed.

No issues with mine. Not aware of it being a widespread bug or anything but you definitely should go ahead and have it looked at. Especially since the window for the exchange/return period is closing soon for most of us.

Same issue is happening with me on iPhone 14. I have noticed it today only when teams won’t pass my voice. Mic works fine in Phone calls and camera video. Only apps like Siri, dictation, WhatsApp, voice memos and teams don’t work with the mic. I am out of support so it sucks I can’t do anything. However I have noticed that if you suck air from the bottom mic grill it starts working and if you blow into the mic grill it stops.

Exactly same is happening with me in iphone 15 pro max so have you found any way to fix it
