can't pair airpods with iphone 12
left airpod was scratchy and spotty, then no sound. RIght worked fine. I read Apple support and did the "forget this device", restarted the phone, now the phone won't recognize the airpods at all.

Start here if your AirPods will not connect with your iPhone: If your AirPods won't connect.
Please also be sure to fully charge your AirPods before attempting to pair them. It may also help to reset them following these instructions: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro.
If you have a second device, try pairing your AirPods with that device instead of your iPhone. If the issue continues, please contact Apple Support directly for more help: Apple Support.
