Changing Apple ID email

If I want to change my Apple ID to another server. Like if my current Apple ID is hotspot.com and want to change it to iCloud.com. Will I still be able to receive email from my current email?

Hey evel18,

When you use any email other than iCloud for your primary email address on an Apple account, your email address functions more like a username, so changing or removing it from your Apple account will not impact your ability to log in to and use that third-party email account.

With that in mind, there are some limitations when changing your Apple ID email address to an iCloud email address. They're outlined in "If you can't change your Apple ID" in Change your Apple ID - Apple Support.

If you can't change your Apple ID
If you try to change your Apple ID to an @icloud.com email address that was created within the last 30 days, you will be asked to try again later.

You can also create an iCloud alias for your current Apple ID without changing the primary email address following the instructions here: Add and manage email aliases for iCloud Mail on iCloud.com - Apple Support

Once you have an iCloud alias, you can use it to log in.

Kindest Regards.
