WHY don't we have an option for 1TB storage?

Apple is missing out on A LOT of revenue opportunity here. As a customer, why would I pay for something I don't need or use? The 2TB plan is overkill for most. When are you going to listen to your customers and provide a 1TB storage option? I'm currently paying AUD $4.49/month for 200GB. I would pay AUD $10/month for 1TB. Considering todays economy & inflation, every dollar counts. Paying AUD $14.99/month for 2TB which I don't need or use is absolutely ridiculous. You're missing out on an opportunity to meet customer needs and increase your profit margins - WIN WIN. Make it make sense?!

We are not Apple here, just users like yourself. To contact Apple and request what you want use Feedback. If there are enough users asking for additional iCloud storage tiers then Apple MIGHT take it into consideration. But know that Apple relies on customer feedback and customer surveys to make these kinds of decisions.

If Apple can offer its customers a benefit like providing 2TB of storage at the price of 1TB, why doesn't Apple introduce 1TB options at a lower price? Many people, especially in developing countries like Pakistan, cannot afford such high monthly prices. I currently have 200GB of storage, which is now full. However, I am unable to upgrade due to the high cost. Apple should consider introducing 500GB and 1TB options to cater to the needs of all types of users and ensure customer satisfaction.

iCloud Storage Choices:

It’s a matter of competition. Just think about it: Apple is keeping up with what their competitors offer to their own customers. With 2TB of cloud storage offered by other competitors at lesser prices than they do themselves, then they’d lose customers —and the same goes for all companies in the cloud storage industry.

So, what to do…

Start iCloud Anew iCloud:

Save a Few: If you wanted to, rather than upgrading your iCloud plan, you could export all of iCloud onto an external disk, trash iCloud storage, and then start iCloud anew. Tt find files, you’d search through the download using the search text box located on the top-left corner a Finder window on your Mac.  Read my User Tip for moreGetting a Quick and Direct "iCloud Drive-to-External Hard Drive" Download - User Tip

1TB iCloud Plan is No More:

All is Fine: Apple canned the option for 1TB of storage moths, if not years back. They upgraded it to 2TB for the same price. So, for the 2TB iCloud Plan, you are not being charged any more than that of the 1TB Plan.
