iPhone 15 Pro Max Camera Blurry and Out of Focus

Same here. My previous iphone 11 Pro Max more sharp and clear. My working task is daily capture photo and upload in website for advertising. But now im using iphone 15 pro max. The picture really unclear. The the working feel like use software make it sharp but not original....

thank, bur this way you can't know, if your lens is ok or not. You don't need A4 page, just open a book and take a picture of a page. Just make sure the page covers the entire frame, so it would be rather close to the lens.

If I were that close I would be using the macro lens, so what are you trying to test in your example, the .5x lens, the 1x lens or the 5x lens?

Note also that a photo of a page of text taken with a $4000 DSLR/lens combo would not be perfectly sharp from edge to edge.

The photo I posted above is neither blurry nor out of focus.

I used 1x. Without macro mode. Just try it for yourself.

It's important that the text would be covering the whole photo, so you can see exactly where your lens is out of focus.

I know how it should look like because I took the same photo with 13 pro max (you can compare results in my previous posts)

Ahh ok, so if this is different camera sensor and Samsung also has a problem we should close this thread and call it a day;D

Just for your own peace of mind: try with text, then we can be sure that there are some good copies of ip 15 pro out there;)

man, for me it looks like you're from Apple team trying to tell me: this blur is a cool new iPhone feature, it performs like a 5500$ setup. Sorry, but I don't buy it. If you can't see that there is clearly something wrong with lenses in iPhone 15 pro, then I can't help it. I'm dealing with top Sony cameras and Zeiss lenses on daily basis, so I know how sharp they are. And it has nothing to do with this topic really.

On text it is visible the most. When you portrait something you will also see a way less details than on 13 pro. Just spend some time and compare few shots, you will know what I and other here mean.

I disagree. You based that on what? Are you an optics engineer to back it up? Bare in mind that if you take a super close shot that could be right. But not from a 1m distance, sorry.

Ask other users on Reddit and here if they are happy with the results. Iphone's 13 pro lens if far suprerior in almost every manner and it is quite easy to prove.

The whole thing about "large sensor + lens optics" is completely nonsense. I agree - it you take a photo from 20 cm it could be an issue. But we are talking here 1m distance, sorry, but there is no explanation for that.

Brother ur not going to understand what we are facing….. preview is absolutely fine but the main problem is when we click it , it’s gone dark grainy and low quality just like we click some low end device! And sorry for my bad English..

I think you believe you're more competent in lens theory than Apple technicians, that realizes this as a problem. Many people reported that they received replacement, because Apple agreed that the phones are faulty. The problem is: they received phones with the same issue.

Any reason why the selfie camera is such a disappointment compared to my previous 13 Pro max? I’m on a 15 pro, and as I’ve already mentioned in the previous posts that I send a lot of videos/ pictures every night to my fiance and the lighting in my room is always the same (so no chance of something being different). Both of the pictures and the videos that I sent are grainy and blurry, without much clarity.

I’ve tested my device and it’s perfect. Any way you can explain why the selfie camera is acting this way? because Apple dropped the ball in that department

Would you believe my iPhone 7 Plus that I bought in 2017 took better pictures than my iPhone 15 pro Max?! Had the staff from Apple Store not told me that my iPhone 7 Plus is gonna be obsolete soon (I was there to supposedly change battery), I wouldn’t have upgraded to IPhone 15 Pro Max. I’m not so happy and I’m not so proud of my iPhone 15 Pro Max because my selfie photos look like my skin got paint smudges no matter how I adjust the camera settings. Even my iPod I bought in 2014 takes better pictures. Both my iPhone 7 Plus and iPod adjust automatically (showing the screen becomes bright) that’s why my photos particularly my face looks clear and sharp.

Guys here I comes with latest update! & I told you all that nothing got changed! Camera is same as it is … dark grainy and low quality images ! Same selfies are horrible 😕 I think we all need to do something on it… anybody here who has contact with tech yt channel??? Who is talking about this issue???? Because I found that apple just ignoring this … as I think this is not just software issue….. please let me know anybody here solved this issue????? If no then we just have to do something because we paid very much for this! Mine model iPhone 15 pro max ! India…

I’m so glad coz I thought I was the only one. Super disappointed this purchase because this is my first Pro Max. I was taking pictures today and I couldn’t believe my iPhone 12, not pro, that I gave to my dad was taking better pictures than my 15 pro max.

Come on Apple .. surely you jest …

iPhone pro max 15 .. super zoom and then the grainy picture looks like we traveled back about 10 years … I expected better and PAID for better … sooo myself and many others are looking for a fix to this issue
