It sounds like your daughter may have disabled your old iPhone by entering the passcode incorrectly too many times. If it gives you the option to try again after a certain amount of time, and you know the correct passcode, you may be able to wait the stated amount of time and enter the passcode to gain access.
If not, you'll need to connect your iPhone to a computer and put it in recovery mode to erase it to use it again. you'll find the steps to do this here:
With that being said, if the disabled iPhone is the iPhone 5c in your profile, we want to be very honest with you regarding what to expect. The latest iOS version compatible with the iPhone 5c is iOS 10.3.4, and Apple recently released a notice that older software versions will no longer support services like the App Store, Siri, and Maps. This means you may not be able to download apps or use many other features on the device.
