That seems very good. I believe Old Toad on here also recommends it. The blurb says nearly 1000 MB/s, which is a reasonable SSD speed. Most flash drives seem to be, maybe, 5 MB/s or so.

from amazon. Blackmagic says it's write speed is 50 MB/s, and Read is 150 MB/s-- way better than others I've bought.

I'd get a SSD if the drive is used for long-term storage because the usual USB flash drives are not very reliable.

Then format it as APFS (or maybe exFAT, MBR for cross-platform use although exFAT in Sonoma might still be flaky (?)). And make backups if it has the only version of those files.

I have used the picture keeper before and I think its better than the photostick omni. I would recommend the picture keeper for iphone.

The only photo stick I'm familiar with is ThePhotoStick. I gave them to my daughters for Mother's day and have had no complaints. It has an app that is needed to download from the iPhone to the stick.

Do a Google search for reviews of ThePhotoStick and compare with others you've found.

However, if you have a Mac my recommendation would be to backup the iPhone to it either via the Photos app on the Mac or the backup feature.
