Cupertino Clock Problem on iPhone 14 Lock screen

The problem appeared suddenly, after about 10 seconds of showing my designated lock-screen an imposter lock-screen appeared (see screenshot). The unusual feature was that it displayed the international time in Cupertino (Cup in centre of clock) a town in California that I have never heard of.

The solution was to go to Settings ---> Wallpaper and select a different Wallpaper. At this point I may have rebooted the machine. Then I could go back to Wallpaper and select my original preference. Problem solved.

I was directed to this solution my an Apple person on the end of their phone helpline. I write this to help others as I cannot see a definitive explanation of this phenomenon anywhere on the web.
