The short answer is no. You can find out if an Apple device supports Touch/Face ID by going to settings and looking at the passcode section. If it says “Face ID and passcode”, your device supports Face ID. If it says “Touch ID and passcode”, your device supports Touch ID. If neither, then your device respectively supports neither.

However, you can set things up so that if you unlock your iPhone via Touch I’d or Face I’d, and then raise your Apple Watch so the passcode number pad appears, the Apple Watch can unlock after talking to the iPhone that has just been unlock.

The reverse can also happen. If your Apple Watch has been authorized, and you are wearing a mask, so that Face I’d does not work, the Apple Watch can confirm that it is OK to unlock because the iPhone and the authorized Apple Watch is nearby. It is an option you have to set.

And the authorized Apple Watch can unlock your Mac, if the proper options are set.
