Right-click the icon in the Dock > Options > and uncheck "Open at Login".

Check System Settings > Users & Groups > Login Items and delete the application from the list there.

Make sure the app is closed (Quit) before you restart or shut down the Mac.

What app is that? I don't recognize it.

When you run the it, what happens?

If it's an app, a user installed it and it can be uninstalled. But you have to know what the app is so you can visit the website for uninstall instructions.

Have you looked in the Applications folder for any unwanted app?

Or you can use app AppCleaner to uninstall it.

Or is it maybe some setting you or a different user set? Again, what happens when you run it? That will give a clue as to what it is and how to get rid of it.

It may be as simple as clicking it and dragging it up to the desktop to see if the "remove" notice appears.
