Spotlight on SMB (NTFS) server not working

Hi, on my iMac with Ventura 13.6 I'm not able to search with spotlight/finder on a volume connected via SMB.

I can open the volume, I can operate the files on it, I can see every file on the server volume connected, but if

I try to search for a file with spotlight, I get no result.

Tried everything, also mdutil -i on via terminal and the answer is always:

Error: unable to perform operation.  (-403)

Server search enabled.

On other iMacs connected to the same volume via SMB, I can search and spotlight works like a charm. But they are not updated to Ventura.

The connected volume is a server containing thousands of files, for me it is essential to be able to use spotlight. By the way, EasyFind is not an up to date alternative at all, so it's not the solution I'm looking for.

Does anyone know how I could solve it? thank you so much!
