Exporting from Notes App to Freeform

Has anyone figured out a workaround for the fact that there is no option to export from Notes to Freeform? I've been using the Notes app to sketch for a loooong time, and I find Freeform to be much better for this. The issue is that I can't export my notes directly into Freeform, and using copy/paste doesn't actually insert the images, just a drawing file that can't be opened. I've suggested this change on the Apple feedback site, but if anyone has a solution in the meantime I would really appreciate it!
