Convert email to calendar invite in iOS

Is there a way to simply convert an existing email thread (eg, one where, after some discussion, we have decided that a meeting is needed) into a calendar item in iOS? I’d like the entire email thread to be included in the body and the default invitees to be those on the thread. Ideally, this can be performed similar to an email reply or share action.

Add a link to an email in the Calendar app Happy new year to all! iOS used to allow me to link to an email in a Calendar entry. It was a simple case of dragging-and-dropping the email from the Mail app into the URL field of a Calendar event. Now, whenever I try to do this, the URL never generates when dropping in. I'm grateful for anyone taking time to read, but before responding, kindly note the following: I want to add a URL to a Calendar event that will link back to a target email. I'm not trying to create a Calendar event from a date/time in an email body. I'm aware you can manually create a URL using the message:// protocol and the message ID, but I cannot find a way to view the message ID that isn't extremely convoluted. If there is a quick and simple way to view a message ID on iOS, that could be a problem-solver. I'm aware that you can drag-and-drop emails into the Attachment field of a Calendar event, but this is no good, because Calendar on iOS cannot open Mail files. I've read that other apps (e.g. Airmail) allow this, but I'm not interested in using alternative apps at this time and, if possible, would like to use the Mail app . I'm aware that the Calendar app on Mac can often generate a link back to email automatically, but it's not always practical or possible to use my Mac. Thank you!

Adding .ics calendar invitation attachment to email Is it possible to add an .ics calendar invite attachment to my Apple Mail email? When I get such emails from others, it is easy to add the event to my Apple calendar. However, if I create an event in iCal and send invitations from there, it rarely works, likely because many use google or outlook calendars. I would prefer to send the invitation from within my email anyway for simplicity.

ics calendar invites received on iPhone mail app don't get added to calendar automatically On other email / calendar apps that run on iOS, such as Outlook or Google (both web and apps), when an email that contains an ics calendar invite is received, the event is automatically and quickly added to the calendar app. It is added as a 'tentative' event until the user either confirms, rejects, or responds "maybe". This is great, because the user can see all upcoming events and plan accordingly. However the built in mail and calendar apps on the iPhone do not work like this - the calendar event is not added to the calendar app until the user opens the email that contains the invite. This behaviour is true regardless of whether the user is using a .icloud domain for their email address, or another domain, such as gmail.com. Is there any way to configure iOS to allow the native mail app to parse incoming messages and add events to the user's calendar similar to how the other apps work on iOS? I know that there is the EventKit SDK that can be used but I really want the built in apps to work like the other 3rd party mail / calendar apps.
