MacBook Pro Battery Drain with Lid Closed since Sonoma

Battery Health is Normal

Optimize Battery Charging is on

Manage Battery Longevity is on

Power Nap is only on adapter

Wake for Network is only on adapter

I would turn these 2 options off, and compare your results:

• Power Nap ̶i̶s̶ ̶o̶n̶l̶y̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶a̶d̶a̶p̶t̶e̶r̶
• Wake for Network ̶i̶s̶ ̶o̶n̶l̶y̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶a̶d̶a̶p̶t̶e̶r̶

Additionally —On an Intel Mac you can try resetting the System Management Controller

Reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

Still experimenting but at the moment it's looking like it's only happening when I have Chrome installed, strangely it doesn't seem to matter if it's running or not, just installed on the laptop. As I said, still experimenting with different configurations but that's how it's looking at the moment........

Just for info, have exactly the same problem, lid closed overnight and when I wake up laptop is dead, interestingly, when looking at the battery usage overnight it stays at 100% then suddenly shows 0% before I try and use it, have wiped totally and reinstalled but no difference so have reverted back to Ventura to see if that cures it or not....

Same problem, tried all possible options. Looks like Apple is pulling this trick to enforce users to purchase the latest Apple MacBook, similar to what they did with the iPhones
