Playlist Problems Apple Music App on Apple TV

Having problems playing existing and newly created playlist on both Apple TVs 4k (2&3 Gen). I can play individual albums and songs from the library. It's only when I try to play the songs in a playlist that I receive the error message "Cannot Connect. Something went wrong. Please try Again." The problem only exists on my Apple TVs. iPhone, iPads, Macbooks have no issue.

Be sure to check for any available tvOS updates on the affected Apple TV devices. That'll help to ensure any available fixes and improvements have been applied.


If needed, this page can help update: Update your Apple TV - Apple Support


It may also be helpful to try a full power cycling of the device. Power off the Apple TV (Siri Remote (2nd generation or later): Press and hold the Power button). Then, unplug the Apple TV from power for a few minutes, and then plug it in and try the Music app again.


Manually closing the app and relaunching can also help in some instances: Switch quickly between Apple TV apps - Apple Support

Thank you for your helpful and insightful response. I was able to contact Apple Support concerning the issue and was notified that Apple was aware of the bug in the Apple Music app on Apple TV. Several others reported having the same issue. A forthcoming firmware update is expected to remedy the problem.
