I want to disable the login password MMac M1 Mini/OS Sonoma 14.0

Users & Groups

Choose the info button (circle with lowercase letter i) for the account.

Choose the Change… button.

Type the password in Old Password field.

Leave New Password blank.

Choose Change Password button.

You will be prompted, “You did not eneter a password for this user account. Are you sure you want to do this? Anyone will be able to log in to your computer.”

Choose Continue button.

Choose OK button.

When you login, leave the password blank and press Return or click the icon for the user.

What is the "Automatically log is as" dropdown menu is grayed out?

If automatic login is grayed out, it means that you have file vault enabled. Using your login password to decrypt the drive in file vault would make no sense if you have automatic login enabled.
