Is it bad to keep my iPhone 15 plugged in, even if I have charging optimisation on at the 80% limit?

as titled. i had slight battery issues with my old iPhone 12, so a bit wary about my new phone and want to keep her running well for as long as poss.

is the new 80% limit option is a be-all-end-all answer to my worries? as the charge cycle number will be kept low this way.

im mostly thinking of when i go to sleep/ in the evenings. sometimes i start charging my phone earlier in the eve and it'll reach about 80% before i go bed. what would the best course of action here be? since, obviously, i wouldnt want to have to charge it again tomorrow until bedtime.

thank you all!
