Why does Safari on mac autofills "gm" or "gma" to http://gmayor.com?

Every time I'm into "gm" or even "gma" on Safari in order to open my gmail account, the browser religiously autofills to gmayor.com. It's been going on for last 3 years ever since I purchased my iMac. Long ago, I opened this gmayor.com just to see why Safari always autofills to gmayor.com and nothing else, I found out that gmayor.com a very ordinary and a nondescript site. Even though I've been typing Gmail multiple times every single day and year after year by starting with 'gm' or 'gma', Safari never could pick up the pattern. It's always, invariably, and religiously autofilling 'gm' or 'gma' to gmayor.com instead of gmail.com. It's a stupid mystery I'm seeking to unravel.

Hi iph11,

To remove that website, you may try the following:

  1. Open Safari.
  2. From the “History” menu, choose “Show All History”.
  3. In the Search field in the top right corner, enter the web site you want to remove.
  4. In the list of search results, click on the web site you want to remove.
  5. Press the Delete key on your keyboard.

Another alternative is to just clear your browsing history entirely, though that may remove any other saved areas you'd wish to keep.

That can be done with the steps here Clear your browsing history in Safari on Mac - Apple Support

Cheers.
