Sonoma keeps crashing frequently and randomly. Never had any such issue with Ventura. Issues started after installing Sonoma on my Mac Book Pro (Apple M1 Max, 16 inch). Clearly a buggy OS, all apps up to date. Don't point at apps, please ...it's a Sonoma problem.

My MacBook M2 (Pro 13" 2022 release) has crashed once a day since the update to MacOS Sonoma, it's surprising that there hasn't been a patch update to fix this problem considering the amount of people that are vocalizing their concerns.
Usually upon opening the lid for the first time after having my computer on the charger overnight, I am prompted to re-enter my password, which tells me that it has been restarted. After logging in, I am greeted with a message stating that _windowserver has crashed, and I can submit a report to Apple or ignore.
This absolutely is not a hardware or application issue as I have had this computer since its release last year, and haven't begun to experience problems until this update.
This is ridiculous, if I could regress back to MacOS Ventura I would do it in a heartbeat.
I would just like to take time out from all this complaining to wish Apple a Merry Fracking Crashmas. Funnily enough más in Spanish means more… how… ironic…
Let me guess: you imported everything from an older mac.
A clean install followed by migrating only the user accounts will easily restore sanity.
i solved disabling iCloud, my system is fast af and don't crash now ! i had every single problem listed in this topic, disable it and will does the trick

Sorry, I have no plans to reinstall the OS anytime soon. I just wanted to clear up my doubts. I don't know why iCloud Drive is missing.
I see that macOS 14.3 is out. Will upgrade and see if it is going to fix the issue for me. Will update you guys again.

It did get worse for me. After update to 14.3 crashes do occur more frequently and not just when coming back from sleep. Unreal OS experience. Sonoma should never have been released.
Constantly crashing, updating to 14.3 no change.
It is so frustrating that so many report ongoing problems.
FWIW, .3 fixed Sonoma for my M1 MB Air, conclusively. No crashes since the upgrade now many weeks ago.

Can someone please help verify, i was also crashing few times a day. Until i disabled “click to reveal desktop” , since disabling it has not crashed. A validation from some one else will help
Is there a way to officially raise the issue and ask Apple to resolve this ASAP?

I’ve reported all the symptoms via multiple phone calls with them, and I did everything they suggested. The only remaining option is the inspection of HW.
My single input is not enough.
MAn..disabling this really screwed up my mbp even further...so had to turn it back on. so, you are golden! Meant for TheRealPankaj re. turning off "click to reveal desktop"
