Sonoma is killing apps and slowing down everything.

My Mac is less than a year old and Sonoma has rendered it slower than than my 2015 MacBook Air. Apps stop responding, some apps can't open at the same time. All my apps are official apps, nothing jailbroken or Beta. I have Clean My Mac from MacPaws and it is even killing it. The access to clean the system was granted yet I keep getting bugs error. I have reported to the MacPaws but I expect much more from Apple

I have the same MacBook as you (with 16 GB of Memory). It’s not any slower than Ventura was. I’m not running multiple Apps at a time. I have done and it’s been fine. You should quit Apps you’re not using Too many running processes at the same time will make it slow down. Have a look in Activity Monitor To see how much memory your Apps are using.

See: If your Mac runs slowly - Apple Support for troubleshooting on what you can do.

Who will buy new hardware? if they keep on optimizing the code you will not need new machines any sooner. I was happy with the previous release like you guys. Can I downgrade? Can't wait for more than a min for the files to appear. Surely, this not a glitch. I am a developer. I understand these intentional tactics. Otherwise, apple must have released a patch, or an upgrade by now.

Time to understand this, and move on.
